Beginning July 28, my unit is available through August 6. Then the next open I have is from August 25-31.

Breakers East Condos Crowded This Summer

I just shared with my buddy Mike how occupancy has changed this year over last year. We are seeing more normal activity when it comes to vacationers here at Breakers East in Destin.

In a few days I will try to post the dates that are available for my Breakers East Condo. My friend Mike at the Pelican beach Resort keeps calling me to try to help would be vacationers to Destin find a place on the beach. He says the Destin Pelican Beach Resort is solidly booked this summer.

Every year my wife and I leave on April 1st to begin our yearly visits of family and friends across the United States.

Hurry to Grab the $200 Money Card For Staying At Breakers East Condo Unit 504

In case you did not hear, the Florida Visitors Bureau and (I am sure BP) reinstated a free $200 money card for reservations made between Oct 4 and early November.

Last month this very same promotion was done but the cards were gone in two days. These cards are first come first serve and the minimum stay is 2 nights. When I looked a few minutes ago(Visitors Bureau link up above) there were still 3265 cards remaining.

Destin Gulf Waters Just Beautiful

As you can see from the picture(my camera has wrong date programmed in)the Gulf of Mexico is just beautiful. We were having some algae and sea weed just off the beach here in Destin but now all we have is gorgeous emerald green water.

What happened to the Oil?

What happened to all the talking heads on television saying how bad it is at Florida beaches? Where is all that oil that the media has us believe was going to ruin us.
The only thing that has ruined us is the the bad garbage the news media was spreading.

A couple of weeks ago, people started realizing that most of this was hype and they started returning to the beaches in droves.

The Destin beach condos, for the most part were almost at full capacity for the last 2 weekends. There has never been a better time to book a vacation to the beaches of Destin and to the Breakers East Resort and unit #504.

Gulf of Mexico Water is Just Beautiful

For the last 3-4 days, the Gulf of Mexico waters have been crystal clear and emerald green. Before that for the previous 2 weeks there was lots of algae and sea weed in the water. There is lots of oil on everyone laying on the beach but that oil is suntan oil.

Destin Beachfront Condo That Sleeps 8

My name is Bob Coonfield and my wife's name is Pat. We own a 5th floor unit at Breakers East in Destin,Florida.

We travel several weeks a year and have our unit on the management/rental program. You can view my calendar by clicking on the link up in the right hand corner of this blog.

My unit has 2 large bedrooms with king size beds and an extra bed in bedroom two. We also have a sleeper couch in the spacious living room.

Amenities include a rather large balcony directly facing the gulf and overlooking our condo building private beach. We also have a heated pool, two lighted tennis courts, outdoor gas grills and on and on the amenities could go.
